Shogi Sentai AstroNauter (将棋戦隊アストロナウター, Shōgi Sentai Asutoronautā^?), translated as Japanese Chess Sentai AstroNauter) is the 41st installment in the Super Sentai Series. It has a space and shogi motif, with the rangers and the villains being inspired by space elements; and their ranks and attacks being based on shogi tactics, moves, and positions.

Story

During the Big Bang, two worlds emerged: Universe and Antiverse, each of which was inhabited by intelligent lifeforms refered to as the Celestums and the Yomidans, respectively. After receiving a source of power known as Judgement Energy, both waged a battle known as the Ordinal Trial. After the victory of the Celestums, the Antiverse was sealed for 4000 million years. After that time passed, the Yomidans have reawoken seeking for revenge. Luckily, a team has united to save the world from their threat in the upcoming Cardinal Trial: they are the AstroNauters. Now, the time has come for the trial of destiny!
